The Eyes of Wellness Outsider Art Calendar (Free Download)

The Northeast Center for Special Care has once again taken great strides towards raising awareness and building understanding about brain injury, by publishing an online downloadable calendar of survivors' artwork.  This 12-month calendar composed of outsider art is designed to resemble the "Mandela," a Sanskrit symbol of spirituality and wellness.

The first day of each month the Northeast Center will post a downloadable new calendar page with artwork and a brief description of the artists themselves.  Artwork from the Northeast Center has been featured in publications such as New York Times and Spirituality and Health Magazine, as well as being featured in the documentary, Changing Identities: A Story of Traumatic Injury and Art.

I highly recommend downloading this calendar.  Not only is the artwork beautiful, but it is a wonderful way of learning more about outsider art and the artists behind it.  http://art-calendar.northeastcenter.com/
